Overview Roger Abramson Jon Offerman Mike Leiderman Michael Gerla Dave Spannus

With the goal of providing service, selection and an expertise not available in the furniture procurement business, Roger Abramson founded The Atlantic Group in 1996. Behind this charismatic leader, coach, and mentor are years of experience and a roster of proven success.

Raised in North Carolina, Abramson is the son of a Marine lieutenant. During his teenage years on Long Island, Roger continually called on the intensity and drive he learned from his father - especially on the football field at Jericho High School. It was here Roger met future The Atlantic Group partner Jon Offerman, and as they say, they rest is The Atlantic Group history.

Upon graduation from Colgate University, Abramson channeled his determined, outgoing and gregarious personality into commercial real estate and became a broker with New York's Newmark & Company. When he decided to move on, Empire Office offered him a position where he was a top salesman for eight years.

During his tenure in the furniture procurement business, this future entrepreneur came to realize that the industry needed a more innovative and service-oriented approach. He wanted to craft a more proactive and efficient business model. Abramson wanted his company to feature a focus on employees who were trained in furniture project management and client service, a process that offered clients more than a tour of factories, and hold a reputation as the most efficient, innovative and effective in the furniture procurement business.

A true team player, Roger joined forces with knowledgeable sales expert Mike Liederman, one of his contacts at Designtex. A year after founding the company, Roger called on his old friend Jon Offerman, who brought his own business and entrepreneurial experience to the company. It was through Abramson's leadership, insight, determination and enthusiasm that The Atlantic Group was born.

Roger is known for his wit, passion and has a reputation for caring about his clients, his employees and delivering a job done well done. It is no surprise that this athlete-turned-CEO was also social chair of his fraternity in college; meet him once, and you'll immediately become aware of his drive and charisma. In his spare time he can be found outdoors, fishing, snowboarding, soaking in the sun, and spending time with his wife, Helen. Roger currently lives in New York City.
