The Cardiovascular Research Foundation is a leading force in the progress against cardiovascular disease, partnering with cardiovascular researchers and educators around the world. Their website states, “At CRF, we are committed to igniting the next wave of innovation in research and education that will help doctors save and improve the quality of their patients’ lives.”
Located at 1700 Broadway in New York City, the Research Foundation’s new 40,000 square foot office is on the 8th and 9th floors, and 200 people work there.
The Atlantic Group began working with the Cardiovascular Research Foundation in 2015, as they started making plans for their new space. The challenge The Atlantic Group faced was achieving the modern, sophisticated look the client wanted – on a budget.
Once the lease was finalized, The Atlantic Group guided the client through the furniture selection process, giving them a lead-time outline for when orders needed to be placed and approvals received, so their deadline could be met.
The Atlantic Group also worked closely with the Cardiovascular Research Foundation’s Designer, Leslie Hodges of Vocon.
“The result was that instead of wood products, we presented a laminate line that looked exactly the same for a third of the price. We saved the wood for the executive offices and the main boardroom,” said The Atlantic Group’s Account Manager, Tomica Dietrich.
Product solutions included Allsteel, OFS and Bernhardt, which work together perfectly – they reflect the CRF’s innovative and forward-thinking approach.
“We presented the cost savings and value engineered the project to meet the client’s budget, while giving them the look and functionality they required,” said Tomica.
Tomica explains, “The client was very pleased that they were able to capture the modern look without going over budget. They absolutely love the space!”
