Based out of Greenwich, Connecticut, Paloma Partners is a Hedge Fund company that leases approximately 25,000 square feet for their office and currently has 100 employees.
Paloma Partners had been in their office space for more than 20 years, so it was time to update the design. The goal was to lighten up the dark and dated space and re-energize the feel of the office. Budget was a concern, so it was important to choose the best product solution that fit within their cost parameters. Another challenge was that the project was being completed in phases, and the customer was working in the space during construction.
The Atlantic Group worked on the re-design of the Paloma Partners’ existing space at 2 American Lane with RS Granoff Architects. After the team visited several of The Atlantic Group’s local installations, they chose Geiger Levels for the private offices and Allsteel Stride for the workstations.
Since the palette was neutral, using some red and orange accents in limited places, Cocoa Walnut was selected for the Geiger furniture in the offices. The workstations were mainly white, but incorporated a dark walnut work surface to tie in the offices.
Because the customer was living in the space during construction, the project was completed in two phases. “Once one side was completed, we switched the employees to the next space,” explains The Atlantic Group’s Senior Project Manager, Claudine Mauri.
When the second side was completed in July of 2014, the employees moved to their permanent workspaces.
